Deakin Anime Recreational Gaming & Hobbies Club

Welcome to dargh!  We are situated at Deakin University Waurn Ponds Campus in Geelong.

We run events every Friday nights*, rotating between Anime and Gaming.

Membership for 2011 is only $10. With this membership you are entitled to a range of benefits, including access to the club's anime and manga library, free entry to any special events and more!

All events are free**, and everyone is welcomed! You can signup to dargh at all our events.

You don't need to be a Uni Student to join!

* with exception to some Special Events, which are run on a Saturday.
** you must be a member in order to get free entry to any competitions/tournaments.

We provide screenings of anime, which is a style of cartoon animation originating in Japan. There are many different type of genre in anime to suit everyone. They include romance, science fiction, fantasy, action, drama, and sports! We strive to showcase a diverse range of different anime that will appeal to everyone.

Throughout the year we also run a few special anime themed events, including live-action, horror and non-anime related crazyness!

The club runs two different gaming sessions on an ongoing basis. Board Gaming and Console Gaming.

During the Board Gaming Sessions you can usually find us playing a range of different type of games. They may include trading card games, board games (go figure!), and role playing games.

At the Console Gaming Sessions, we take a casual approach to playing games. However, we are still competitive when it counts!. Both the Wii and XBox360 are the most popular gaming platforms among the club.

There's always bound to be something for you to enjoy and play at the gaming events. We are always open for suggestions as to what to play!
